This was quite an eventful last 10 days. I showed up a day late to training camp because I was in a wedding and had to set up my tent in the woods in the middle of the night. However, from the moment I met the people in my squad (25 in total) it has been incredible. Our routine has been getting up in the morning and doing worship with my team, after that we go to breakfast, then we have a worship time with everyone, then a training session/sermon. After that we have discussions with our squad, then lunch, and after lunch a time of prayer. Following this is another afternoon session, and sometimes worship, then dinner and after dinner was different each night but a lot of the time it consisted of team building activities or one on one time with our coaches/mentors.

It was a time of nonstop spiritual growth, spiritual reconstruction, a dive into deep topics, how to share the gospel, and forgiveness. It has been an extremely heavy, but very healthy time where a lot of inner turmoil was relinquished. I broke a lot of strongholds that were on my life, and was able to deal with a lot of unforgiveness I did not truly realize that I was living in. I was able to share a lot of my testimony to different people, and the group as a whole. Yesterday we did baptisms, and I thought that I was not going to partake. But the Lord had a different plan. The night started with our group looking into their commitment and the ways in which we agree to live over the next year. It made me realize the life I had been living, and the one I want to live in Christ. These two did not align, and with the work I did over the last week it was something that kept coming to my mind last night. My thought the whole time was that I had already been baptized and there was no reason to. But last night 4 people came up to me and asked if I was going to get baptized, so then I was like okay Lord if one more person asks me then I will. Right after I prayed that the person next to me turned and asked me that exact question. So, I asked my friend Colby to baptize me and I am off to a new proclaimed life of following Christ! Praise the Lord!

A couple of other things that happed this week:

I witnessed healing, renewal of life, true joy and faith, a group of people that get along and are there for one another for one reason and that reason being Christ. I have heard crazy stories, and an endless amount of grace and love from the Lord. He is faithful and working mightily today!

We fly out tomorrow night and will arrive in Kenya on on sept 9th. We will be there for 40 days. Me and my team of 6 total people will be staying in Mombasa doing ministry at The Dream Center. It is a community center with varying programs for kids, sports, nursing mothers, and others in need in the area. Dream Academy is a day and boarding school birthed out of the Dream Center. The Academy is rapidly growing and serving a big need in this area for quality education.

Thank you for the continued support and prayer!
